PLASP is pleased to present Dr. Karyn Gordon as the keynote speaker at PLASP’s Annual Parent and Community Meeting on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. Dr. Gordon is the resident expert for Cityline (City TV), New York Parenting Magazine, Chatelaine and Today’s Parent. A sought after speaker, she has spoken to over 1/4 million people - from the New York Times to Fortune 500 companies to school boards across the country.

For the first time, PLASP is inviting guests to choose the topic for this year’s Annual Parent and Community Meeting. Dr. Gordon has six presentations that are geared towards young families - cast your vote and let us know which one appeals to you the most!

The topics are:

• Building Leadership in Your Kids
• Raising Healthy Kids in an Age of Overindulgence
• Teaching Empathy and Gratitude in Kids
• Bridging the Gap – Build a Thriving Relationship with Your Kids
• Lost in Translation – Strategies to Get Your Kids to Talking

Invitations to the Annual Parent and Community Meeting have been handed out in the PLASP programs. Parents can RSVP to their child’s Program Director by Friday, September 27, 2013. Tickets will be issued and must be presented at the door.

Stay tuned to our Facebook page and Twitter feed to hear about a surprise visit from Dr. Gordon at one of our program sites later this month. Dr. Gordon will visit with the children and talk with parents in the program.
