With 182 locations to serve you, PLASP operates a variety of school age programs for children up to 12 years of age.

Programs Include:

Before School Program

The Before School Program operates from 7:30 am and continues until school begins. Children participate in social activities and enjoy a healthy breakfast, served daily. Staff to child ratio is 1 to 15.

Lunch Program - Lu2

Lunch will be provided to the children Two days a week. On the other three days, the children bring their own lunch to the program and, after lunch, participate in a variety of planned and supervised, indoor and outdoor activities. Staff to child ratio is 1 to 20.

Lunch Program - Lu5

PLASP's Lunch Program serves nutritious lunches daily. Our lunches are made fresh and delicious and enjoyed by all. Children eat in a relaxed supervised and social setting. They participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Staff to child ratio is 1 to 20.

After School Programs

After School Program begins at school dismissal and continues until 6:00 p.m. Children are greeted by the staff; with fun, stimulating activities planned. The children participate in active play and socialize with their friends, or have time to do homework. Special events are planned on a regular basis, including theme days, and special visitors. A substantial snack is served everyday before 4:30 p.m. A typical snack includes whole grain crackers with cheese, yogurt, pear slices, milk or juice. Staff to child ratio 1:15

10+ Club

The 10+ Club is for children from 10 - 12 years of age. In this program children and staff work together to plan and implement activities which are age appropriate, challenging and fun, creating an environment where these children want to be.

Extended Hours

Extended, before and after school, hours are available at specific locations. Start times of 7:15 am, as well as, end times of 6:15 pm are available at these

Part-time Packages

For families who do not require child care every day, Part-time packages are available. A part time package consists of 14 visits per session,

• Fall - September to December
• Winter - January to March
• Spring - April to June.

These visits can be used at any time during the session you purchase.

P.A. Day Program

Day trips are organized for children on school P.A. Days. These trips have children visiting such attractions as Ontario Place, Chuck E. Cheese, Bowling, or a Movie and the Theatre. P.A. Days begin at 7:30 am and go until 6:00 pm, with children being picked-up and dropped off at their school. The fee includes transportation, admission fees and lunch.

Early Release Program

The early release program operates from school dismissal (12:30 or 1:00pm) to the beginning of the After School Program. Children participate in various recreational activities and enjoy a healthy snack.
