PLASP offers many different volunteer and student on placement opportunities. 

Volunteers

• Work directly with the children in our After School programs
• Assist with duties in the Head Office
• Participate as Board or Committee Members

 Students on Placement

• Work directly with the children in Early Learning and Child Care Centre programs
• Work alongside staff in the Head Office

 Both volunteers and students on placement enhance the high quality care that is provided to the children in our programs.

We are viewed as an excellent choice for volunteers and students on placement by the local secondary schools, community colleges and other community agencies.  We take pride in the relationships we have with the community and what we have accomplished together.

Each year the Volunteer Department places more than:

•  800 volunteers (mostly youth)
• 150 students on placement

Together Volunteers and Students on Placement contribute more than 51,000 hours to PLASP, working directly with the children.
