You are fully supported by area managers as well as a Special Needs Support Services Team who works one-on-one with children requiring extra support
Your personal and professional development is a big focus. Throughout the year, we offer staff training on topics like Self-Esteem, The Reflective Educator, The Four Foundations of Learning, Professional Leadership, Embracing Inclusion, and more.
At PLASP, we believe our program staff reflects the communities we serve. So much so that the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion have become ingrained in the organization, and a commitment to ongoing professional development in this area.
Your admin time is allocated and paid. And we provide all the materials needed for planning, so you can focus more time on activities. On top of that, our simple-to-use tech makes everything as streamlined as possible.
If you’re starting your career, there are many opportunities for career growth within our programs. Staff can also move from Program Supervisor or Assistant Director to Program Director quickly once they have the experience needed.
Working in a PLASP Before and After School Program gives you flexible, part-time work. Programs start at 7:30 am and run until school starts. Then, after school, children stay until 6 pm.
Staff in our School and Kindergarten aged programs can choose to take the summer off. You are also given one week off in December. Of course, all staff receive sick days. And we encourage staff to take care of themselves, which includes an EAP program and a supportive supervisory team.
Our child-to-staff ratios are 1:15 or less, and the work is creative, engaging, and flexible, with both indoor and outdoor activities.
