Why Donate?
As a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, PLASP’s main source of revenue is provided by our competitively-priced parent fees. However, throughout the year, we often seek support from our community to help us supplement our services to better serve our families and community. Our donors and sponsors can be proud to support an organization that:
-
Boasts high-satisfaction fees from both parents and children about the programs
-
Continues to grow and expand into areas of Peel and Toronto
-
Assists families in need of financial help with subsidies
-
Invests in training staff to the highest standards of care
-
Provides volunteer learning opportunities to members of the community and practical work experiences in our programs and office environment
-
Collaborates on new initiatives and educational opportunities for parents and caregivers with community partners and levels of government
20 Years as Best Child Care Provider
For 20 years in a row, PLASP has been recognized by readers of the Mississauga News as Best Before and After School program, and by the readers of City Parent Magazine as Best Child Care. With an overall parent satisfaction rating of 95%, the results are clear: PLASP is the number one choice of parents for child care, for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years of age. Donors and sponsors can choose to support PLASP and give one of two gifts:
The gift of knowledge (PLASP Annual Parent and Community Meeting)
The PLASP Annual Parent and Community Meeting is held in the fall of each year with over 1,000 indviduals in attendance. Organizations interested in sponsoring this event will be recognized by having their name and logo printed in the annual report (5,000 impressions), in event programs and signage, and will receive acknowledgement throughout the evening's presentations. Held primarily for parents and community partners, this event provides individuals with information on PLASP from the previous year, including the organization's financials. The highlight of the evening is the keynote address from a relevant expert in the area of parenting, education or behaviour management.
