Program Transfers

If your child is transferring to a different PLASP program, you will be required to cancel their current programs and add the new program(s) needed.

This applies to children that are:

  • Transferring to a new school for French Immersion
  • Transferring to a new school due to a family move

This does not apply to children that are transferring from a PLASP kindergarten program to a PLASP school age program in the same school location. We will submit a request on your behalf to transfer your child to the next age-appropiate program.

If your child is turning 12 and no longer eligible for the PLASP program, they will be cancelled automatically at the end of the current school year.

 

Cancellation Dates

If your child will be attending a different school in September, please use the following as the cancellation date for their current program(s). Our cancellation policy applies. Cancellations must be requested 10 business days prior to your cancellation date.

  • September: Transfers from the Early Learning and Child Care Centres
  • July: Transfers from Kindergarten and School Age programs

 

Please Note: It’s important to use the cancellation date listed above. Selecting the incorrect cancellation date could cancel your child from PLASP. You will lose your priority sequence if you inadvertently cancel your child from PLASP. If you cancel from PLASP and need to re-register, you will be charged the administrative fee again due to the break in service. We recommend that you add your child(ren)’s new program(s) for September as soon as possible as there may be a wait-list for the program(s) requested. Your request will be processed in priority sequence.
