PLASP Pays Tribute to Longo’s 60th Anniversary
On April 7, PLASP recognized Longo’s 60th anniversary by presenting a framed picture from the children in our programs.

From Left to Right: Lynn Crewe, Manager, Procurement & Facilities, PLASP; Joey Longo, Chief Development Officer, Longo’s; Rose Buick, Marketing Specialist & Account Executive for Grocery Gateway; Steve Quintin, Director, Digital Commerce and Business Development, Grocery Gateway; Michael Forgione, Chief Operating Officer, Longo’s; Jenny Longo, Director Private Brands, Longo’s; Cathy Paolucci, Manager, Marketing and Communications, PLASP; Anthony Longo, CEO & President, Longo’s; Lynn Hiebert, CEO, PLASP.
PLASP partners with Longo’s to provide healthy food delivered directly to our programs by refrigerated trucks. Longo’s has also been an ongoing sponsor of PLASP. For example, the company was the lead event sponsor for PLASP’s 40th Anniversary Annual Parent and Community Meeting with keynote speaker Chef Michael Smith.
“Healthy, nutritious and substantial breakfasts and snacks are a priority in all our programs – as well as the lunches provided in our Early Learning and Child Care Centres,” said Lynn Hiebert, PLASP CEO. “We value our partnership with Longo’s and are grateful for the service they provide to PLASP daily – and for their ongoing support to our programs. We congratulate Longo's on their 60th anniversary. We know from experience what an important milestone such an anniversary is.”
Healthy food is an integral part of children’s well-being, as outlined in the How Does Learning Happen pedagogy from the Ontario Ministry of Education, and is showcased in PLASP’s latest informational video on well-being – part of the How Does Learning Happen at PLASP? video series.
