New PLASP Early Learning and Child Care Centre opens in northwest Brampton
One of Brampton’s fastest growing communities for young families is now home to PLASP’s newest Early Learning and Child Care Centre.
The PLASP Early Learning and Child Care Centre at St. Jacinta Marto Catholic Elementary School welcomed its first toddlers and preschool children from the surrounding Springbrook community on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019. Area families had a chance to tour the new centre during an official open house event one week earlier.
Forecasts from the Region of Peel say the community, located near Mississauga Road and Queen Street West, will experience some of the region’s highest demand for toddler and preschool child care by 2021.
“We know from research that the advantage of early learning lasts a lifetime. Access to licensed high-quality affordable child care is one of the essential foundations upon which vibrant, healthy and dynamic communities are built,” said Lynn Hiebert, CEO of PLASP Child Care Services. “We look forward to providing hardworking families in the Springbrook community with peace of mind and our award-winning child care on each working day.”
PLASP also operates separate programs for school age and kindergarten children at the school.
