Simple Strawberry Mango Popsicles

With summer on our doorstep, your children will enjoy making and enjoying these real fruit popsicles. These are not only easy to make but they are also healthy and delicious! Prepare and make the popsicles with your child and enjoy them together.

What you will need:

  • 1 cup chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 cup chopped mango (fresh or frozen)

  • Popsicle molds

Process:

  1. If using fresh, simply cut up the fruit and blend in a food processor or blender

  1. If using frozen, defrost the fruit in the microwave and then blend in a food processor or blender

  1. If you find the fruit mixture too thick you can add a small amount of fruit juice or water

  1. Pour the mango halfway up the popsicle molds and then add the strawberry. The amount of pops will depend on the size of your molds.

  1. Freeze for 3-4 hours before consuming.

Get creative and try your child’s favourite fruit combo!

Engaging with Your Child:

There are many ways your child can take part in creating these yummy treats.  Your child could choose which fruit to include, help with washing the fruit, add the fruit into the food processor, and/or pour the mixture into the popsicle molds. Giving your child some child-sized responsibility will promote their self-confidence and motivate them to help with other cooking tasks in the future.
