Creating Designs using Frame Cut-outs

Looking for creative wayto keep your child engaged? Our next activity is perfect for rainy days, sunny days, or even just quiet days for when you want to catch up on your daily tasks. Stimulate your child's imagination by providing open-ended craft materials and encouraging them to create designs of their choice using frame cut-outs.  
 

What You Will Need 

  • Scissors 

  • Construction paper 

  • Tape  

  • Craft materials of your choice (pipe cleaners, pom poms, googly eyes, straws, strings, ribbons, beads). 
     

Process 

  1. 1. Start by tracing or drawing a shape of your child’s choice (butterfly, star, heart, worm, etc.). 

  1. 2. Using scissors, cut the inner part of the drawing, leaving a frame to work with. 

  1. 3. Provide your child with craft materials and encourage them to use their imagination to decorate and create designs.
