Hammering Golf Tees

Young children are very action oriented and this simple and engaging activity will meet that need.

What you will need:

  • - Assembled Cardboard box (any size)

  • - Golf Tees

  • - Toy Hammer

Process:

  • - Use a golf tee to puncture a bunch of holes in the cardboard box

  • - This will allow for your child to line up the golf tees and hammer them on their own

Engaging with your child:

Gather the needed materials. Invite your child over and ask an opening question “What do you think we might do with these materials?”.  Depending on your child’s previous experience you may need to lead and give a brief demonstration.  During the activity you may want to turn take with your child, label and describe what they are doing, or make comments on what is being observed.
