Bottle Rocket

Use art as a way to bond with your child and enjoy conversations filled with curiosity. In our next activity, create rockets using recycled water bottles and discover what happens when paint is mixed together 

 

What You will Need: 

  • - Water bottle 

  • Tempra paint, different colours  

  • Red or orange ribbon or strips of red or orange tissue paper 

  • Construction paper for wings 

  • Decorations, markers, stickers, pom poms etc. 

  • Tape and glue gun 

Directions: 

  1. 1. Clean out your water bottle and pour in different colours of paint. 

  1. 2. Put the cap back on bottle with glue and tape around the cap. 

  1. 3. Twist, shake and move it until the paint covers the inside of bottle. 

  1. 4. Decorate with stickers, markers, pom poms etc. 

  1. 5. Cut wings or fins from construction paper and tape or glue on sides of rocket. 

  1. 6. Tape strips of ribbon to bottom of rocket for fire and then you’re ready to ZOOM, ZOOM, ZOOMto the moon!
