Music and Movement using Hula Hoops
Hula hoops are fun, light weight, and immediately draw children towards them. Improve motor skills and coordination by creatively engaging with your child using hula hoops.

2. Now let’s all pretend to be Astronauts, as we step into our hula space ships. Go as low to the grown as possible and making rattling sounds of the space engine; starting at five, slowly count down to one and end with a huge leap!
Since this activity requires lots of movement, using outdoor space is recommended. Hold the hula hoop in your hand and begin to sing the song(s) of your choice and invite your child to join. Alternatively, you can sit and pretend to be the conductor of the train, the driver on the bus, or make it humorous with “the wheels on the firetruck, go round and round”.
