Dino Bath

Water play can be anytime, not just bath time!  This experience offers your child to practice daily life skills, but in a fun and interactive way. During this sensory pretend play children develop an understanding of the world around them, through problem solving skills and language development.

What You will Need

  • - Bin

  • - Water, dish soap

  • - Toy animals or babies

  • - Sponge or cloth

  • - Towel

Process

  1. 1. Lay towel on a flat surface.

  1. 2. Fill bin with warm water and place on top of towel.

  1. 3. Next, add dish soap and mix until bubbles form.

  1. 4. Add cloth and animals next to bin.

Engaging with Your Child

Children learn best when they engage with their sensesstimulating brain development.  As your child begins to explore the water, engage in conversation, I think your dino is dirty, where are you going to clean him first”.  This would also be a great time to build on learning opportunities for body part awareness. You can also offer to sing “head and shoulders”.
