3. Add 2-4 drops of food coloring and 2 drops of contact saline solution and mix until stretchy.
Tips: If it's too sticky, add a few more drops of contact saline solution
This is a fun activity that your child will love! Firstly, place all the ingredients on the table and invite your child to make slime. Ask your child to “squeeze” the bottle of glue as hard as they can, into the bowl. You can later help to make sure all the glue is out of the bottle. Provide your child with the measuring spoon and ask them to scoop out the required amount. During this time, consider asking your child “How much baking soda do YOU think we need?” As you move along with all the ingredients, continue to ask “lets read how much we need”. Once the slime has formed, ask your child sensory based questions, “I wonder what it feels like, smells like...?”, asking these questions allows your child to share their ideas. Stretch the slime as far as you can and observe your child’s expression and excitement as the slime continues to stretch and stretch!
