Engaging with Your Child

Once all your items have been gathered, invite your child over. Explain to them that this activity involves creating a collage of all their favourite things. Initiate a letter search by saying, let's try finding all the letters in your name. As the letters are found, they can be cut and pasted onto the paper. To a child, their name is often the first thing they learn to readAs their reading progresses, so does their confidence. Use this time to bond with your child and get to know their likes and dislikes. Once the “All About Me” page is complete, consider asking your child to present it to the family.
