At the heart of our PLASP community are our PLASP parents and throughout the month of March, PLASP staff and children make a special effort to show them our appreciation.

PLASP recognizes the balancing act and many challenges that parents face day-to day and continues to put supporting families at the forefront of what we do.

“To our parents - Over this past year, at some point, you likely have had to be caregiver, educator, and even personal assistant to your children, all while simultaneously juggling your own work/life responsibilities. Please know that we at PLASP are grateful for you. We’re grateful to be able to open our doors and support you by welcoming your children to our programs and centres, and we look forward to better days ahead when we can welcome even more families back to PLASP.”

In addition to hanging banners and artwork, PLASP children and staff created cards of appreciation and put together individualized gifts as a token of thanks for parents.

“We’re celebrating our amazing parents by displaying a banner in our centre with the children’s handprints that they see at drop-off and pick-up. We also gifted them individualized bags of popcorn with notes of appreciation attached.”  - Vivette Young, PLASP Early Learning and Child Care Centre Director.
