PLASP Celebrates Black History Month

February is Black History Month! At PLASP Child Care Services, we have a month of learning and reflection planned. Through social media posts during February, we’ll be sharing ways in which our children, staff and families are celebrating and honouring Black history, culture and contributions.

“Black History Month is an important opportunity to celebrate and learn.” says PLASP CEO, Lynn Hiebert. “At the same time, we know we’re not telling the full story unless we acknowledge the troubling anti-black racism in our society historically, and presently. PLASP remains committed to actionable change against anti-black racism at all levels of our organization and communities.”
