PLASP Celebrates Volunteers and Students on Placement during National Volunteer Week and Beyond!
National Volunteer Week 2025 runs from April 27th to May 3rd. Each year, PLASP pays special tribute to the volunteers and students on placement who give their time and talents in PLASP Programs, Child Care Centres, EarlyON Centres and at our Head Office. During Volunteer week we encourage families to thank the volunteers and students on placement in their child’s program.
PLASP volunteers bring an energy and enthusiasm to programs that children love!
During the 2024/25 school year, PLASP has welcomed 250 volunteers and 335 students on placement to its programs, centres and to our Head Office; providing opportunities for those looking to work with children, or in administrative roles, to gain hands-on experience. In turn, volunteers and students on placement are an invaluable resource as they contribute their time, energy and enthusiasm to our programs and Head Office while playing a vital role in enriching the lives of children while providing support to staff and families.
Volunteers and students on placement provide invaluable support at PLASP!
“Volunteers and students on placement are a crucial component of PLASP! Children love having volunteers and students visit our programs and centres. They look to them as leaders and role models and provide an additional element of fun that children look forward to at PLASP. We are grateful to our wonderful volunteers and students that make a difference in the lives of the children PLASP cares for each day. Your dedication and commitment to our organization is truly appreciated. This year’s theme for National Volunteer Week is “Volunteers Make Waves. Together, we create ripples of change.” Thank you to our volunteers and students for all you do to make waves with the children in our programs and at the PLASP office! An additional thank you to our incredible volunteer board of directors for the knowledge and expertise you bring to our organization!”
